It has been reported that Twitter is planning to increase its profit by jumping into a new revenue stream.

Third party publishers’ apps and sites.

The Wall Street Journal reports that twitter will introduce advertisements to tweets published on third-party apps and websites. The social media network revealed its new plan during a presentation at CES.

The company wants to be able to eventually make the claim that it delivers the largest daily audience online, said the WSJ.
The presentation mentioned ESPN’s Sports Center app and Flipboard as possible partners.

The deal will see Twitter and publishers sharing advertising revenue.

Last year, Twitter CEO Dick Costolo promised investors who had concerns about Twitter’s slow growth and monetisation strategies that the company is working on a strategy to overcome these challenges.
