Samsung brand value hits $105 billion in Interbrand’s 2026 ranking

Samsung Electronics has once again secured fifth place in Interbrand’s Best Global Brands ranking, marking the seventh consecutive year the South Korean giant has held that position. The brand consultancy has placed Samsung’s brand value at $105.2 billion for 2026, keeping it firmly among the most valuable consumer and technology names in the world.

The result also keeps Samsung in a rare position. It remains the only company headquartered in Asia to have stayed inside the global top five every year since 2020, a tier that has otherwise been dominated by major American technology firms.

Samsung says this year’s recognition was driven largely by its performance in artificial intelligence. The company reported record earnings on the back of heavy investment in AI-focused semiconductors, alongside efforts to bring more AI features to its phones, TVs and home appliances. It also credits its One Samsung strategy, which aims to present a more consistent, customer-focused experience across its many product lines.

Memory chips have played a central role. As demand for AI computing continues to surge, Samsung has increased production of high-value memory products used in data centres and AI hardware. The company says it became the first in the industry to mass produce and commercially ship HBM4, the latest generation of high-bandwidth memory designed for advanced AI processors.

On the consumer side, the year’s standout launch was the Galaxy Z Fold8, the eighth generation of Samsung’s book-style foldable. The device introduced a new form factor with a 4:3 display aspect ratio, giving users a wider screen when unfolded. Samsung says the design has proven particularly popular with younger customers while also attracting a broader audience, though it has not released specific sales numbers.

Interbrand, one of the longest-running brand consultancies, publishes its ranking each year based on a mix of financial results, future outlook, the role a brand plays in purchasing decisions and its overall competitiveness. Its assessment also weighs factors such as strategy, differentiation, customer engagement, consistency and trust, meaning the list reflects public perception as much as raw financial strength.

For Samsung, holding steady at fifth place for seven years shows remarkable consistency in a fast-moving industry. With AI now shaping everything from its chip business to its smartphones, the coming years will reveal whether that momentum can finally lift the brand higher up the global rankings.
