LG is using International Music Day as an excuse to push its 2026 audio lineup across the Middle East, and the pitch is consistent from top to bottom: let software handle the acoustics so you don’t have to. Behind the seasonal framing, this is less a product launch than a regional showcase of hardware that leans heavily on automatic room correction, spatial audio and on-device AI processing.
The idea itself isn’t new. Sonos has offered Trueplay tuning for years, and Samsung’s SpaceFit Sound does something similar on its soundbars. LG’s version spreads the concept across a wider range of products, from home theatre to party speakers, using features it calls AI Sound Pro+, AI Room Calibration Pro and Space Calibration Pro, along with its α11 AI processor. According to LG, the system separates vocals, instruments and bass in incoming audio, measures reflections and speaker distances in the room, and then adjusts frequency balance and positioning on the fly based on genre and where the listener is sitting.

The most interesting product here is the LG Sound Suite, the company’s flagship home audio system built around Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. That standard removes the rigid speaker placement that has long made surround sound a hassle in real homes. You put speakers wherever your furniture allows, and the system maps the room and corrects timing and output to compensate. LG describes its implementation as a world first, though how much it improves on traditional layouts will depend heavily on the room. It also adds ultra-wideband Sound Follow, which is designed to move the sweet spot as you move around. Owners of LG OLED evo TVs get WOW Orchestra, which uses the TV and soundbar speakers together, and WOWCAST, which LG says sends Dolby Atmos wirelessly and losslessly.
The portable side is led by the xboom Stage 501, part of the xboom by will.i.am range and winner of both Red Dot and iF design awards this year. It outputs up to 220W on mains power and 160W on battery, uses Peerless drivers, and is rated for up to 25 hours with a swappable battery. Its AI Karaoke Master feature removes vocals and changes key in real time on almost any track, so you don’t need dedicated karaoke versions or a subscription. Handles, pole mounting and several orientations make it clearly aimed at gatherings rather than desks.

The products are available through UAE and regional retailers. LG hasn’t given regional pricing, and that matters more than any of the AI branding. Automatic calibration is only as good as its real-world results, and whether FlexConnect turns out to be a genuine fix for awkward living rooms or just a convenient compromise is something only hands-on testing will show.
