ASUS ProArt P16 hits the UAE at AED 16,499

ASUS has opened UAE pre-orders for the ProArt P16 and ProArt P14, a pair of creator laptops built around NVIDIA’s RTX Spark platform, and it is offering anyone who commits early a free 24-inch ProArt monitor. The P16 is priced at AED 16,499 and the P14 at AED 12,999, with orders running through the ASUS eShop and major retailers across the country.

The main selling point is local AI. ASUS says both machines can run supported AI tools, generate images and video, and handle demanding creative projects on the device itself, which gives users more control over their data and less reliance on cloud services. That matches where NVIDIA has been steering the industry, with AI workloads moving off remote servers and onto personal hardware. Still, “supported” is doing a lot of work in that claim. ASUS has not shared performance figures, so it remains unclear how many of the models and apps creators actually use will run comfortably on these laptops.

ASUS is also bundling its own software. MuseTree is aimed at brainstorming and image generation, and StoryCube automatically organises photo and video libraries. Bundled utilities like these only earn their place if they save time over tools most professionals already pay for. Whether these two can compete with established creative suites is still an open question.

The hardware story is easier to judge. The P16 is 12.9mm thick and weighs 1.77kg. The smaller P14 is 13.9mm thick and weighs 1.48kg, so the larger model is actually the slimmer one. Both use ASUS Lumina Pro OLED panels at 120Hz, reaching up to 4K on the P16 and up to 3K on the P14. The “up to” matters, because display resolution varies by configuration, and ASUS has not fully detailed which panel ships with which model in the UAE.

The free monitor, the ProArt Display PA248CRV, is a 24.1-inch IPS screen running at 1920 x 1200. It comes factory calibrated and has USB-C with up to 96W of power delivery, so a single cable can drive a tidy desk setup. ASUS has not said whether 96W can keep either laptop fully charged under heavy load. Eligible UAE purchases also include a year of accidental-damage protection at no extra cost, which is a meaningful perk on hardware at this price.

At these prices, the ProArt pair competes directly with Apple’s MacBook Pro line, which has long been the default choice for creative professionals. ASUS is betting that NVIDIA graphics and on-device AI will persuade buyers to switch. Independent testing will decide whether that bet pays off.
