Alienware is widening its OLED gaming monitor range with two displays aimed at very different audiences: one chasing 4K image quality and another pushing refresh rates to an extreme 560Hz. The new Alienware 32 4K OLED AW3226Q targets PC and console players, while the Alienware 25 560Hz QD-OLED AW2527HX is designed primarily for competitive FPS and esports.
The AW3226Q is a flat 32-inch 4K monitor using RGB stripe tandem OLED technology previously deployed in Alienware’s larger 39-inch AW3926QW. Its 3840 x 2160 panel runs at 165Hz with a claimed minimum 0.03ms grey-to-grey response time, positioning it as the more versatile of the two displays rather than a specialist esports screen.

The interesting part is the panel architecture. Alienware says the four-stack tandem OLED design improves brightness while its RGB stripe subpixel arrangement delivers better colour purity and cleaner text. That last point matters beyond gaming, since text rendering has been one of the compromises associated with some OLED subpixel layouts. A polarizer is also intended to preserve deeper blacks in brighter rooms.
HDR specifications include up to 1,000 nits peak brightness, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 and Dolby Vision. Alienware claims 99% DCI-P3 coverage and factory calibration to Delta E below 2. NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and VESA AdaptiveSync support are included.
Console users get two HDMI 2.1 FRL connections alongside DisplayPort 1.4, with Alienware saying HDMI can handle the monitor’s full 4K and 165Hz combination. There are also USB-A and USB-C downstream connections, although USB-C charging tops out at a modest 15W.
The AW2527HX takes an almost opposite approach. Its 24.5-inch QD-OLED panel sticks to 1920 x 1080 but reaches a native 560Hz refresh rate with a claimed 0.03ms response time. Alienware developed the display with input from Team Liquid players, and several design choices reflect tournament use, including a compact stand, repeatable height and rotation markers, and a dedicated button for switching between 4:3 and 3:2 aspect ratios.

DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR13.5 connectivity allows the 560Hz monitor to operate without Display Stream Compression. Alienware also specifies VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification and peak brightness of 1,500 nits. The combination makes the AW2527HX particularly interesting because it attempts to bring OLED contrast and HDR performance into territory historically dominated by extremely fast TN esports monitors.
Burn-in inevitably remains part of the OLED conversation. Both displays carry three-year warranties covering OLED burn-in, while Alienware is using active mitigation systems. The AW2527HX additionally employs a graphite heat-dispersion layer and pixel-level protection measures.
Alienware says the AW2527HX is coming in early 2027. The supplied announcement does not provide pricing, leaving one of the biggest questions unanswered: how much gamers will have to pay for either end of Alienware’s increasingly specialised OLED strategy.
