Nomad expands its case lineup for iPhone 18 and the new iPhone Duo

The iPhone 18 generation is inevitably going to spend plenty of time wrapped in cases, and Nomad’s latest lineup gives buyers considerably more choice than the usual plastic shell in five slightly different shades of grey. The new collection covers everything from wonderfully minimal leather backs to serious rugged protection, with dedicated options for the new iPhone Duo joining the familiar iPhone 18 range.

There is a lot of overlap, though, and spending more doesn’t automatically buy you a better case. Some of these are about protection, others are about keeping the iPhone feeling slim, and several exist primarily because good leather ages far more gracefully than scratched plastic. Here are the Nomad iPhone 18 and iPhone Duo cases worth knowing about, and who should actually buy each one.

Nomad Magnetic Leather Back for iPhone Duo

Nomad’s Magnetic Leather Back for iPhone Duo is arguably the most interesting accessory in the collection because it takes the opposite approach to bulky foldable-phone protection. Rather than turning an already substantial device into a pocket brick worthy of Minecraft, it adds a low-profile Horween leather back.

At $59 (AED 229), it comes in Saddle, Rustic Brown and Black, with the leather designed to develop character rather than simply look worn after months of use. This is the option for iPhone Duo buyers who prioritize keeping their phone slim and showing off its unusual hardware. The obvious compromise is protection: minimal coverage and maximum armor rarely occupy the same universe. Nomad says it ships by December 7.

Nomad Traditional Leather Folio for iPhone Duo

For buyers wanting considerably more coverage, the Traditional Leather Folio for iPhone Duo goes all-in on full-grain Horween leather. At $129 (AED 499), this is firmly the luxury choice and comes in Saddle, Rustic Brown and Black.

A folio makes particular sense on a folding device because it embraces the larger form factor instead of pretending the phone is a conventional slab. The trade-off is predictable: more material means more bulk, and $129 is substantial money for a case. Buyers who want their Duo to feel more like a premium leather notebook than a naked piece of futuristic glass should have this near the top of their shortlist. Nomad lists shipping by November 16.

Nomad Rugged Case for iPhone 18 Pro

The refreshed Nomad Rugged Case in Norte is the practical adventurer of the family, but Nomad has thankfully given it more personality this time around. The Norte, Balandra and Arroyo finishes incorporate topographical inspiration from Baja California, giving the case an outdoorsy identity without making it look like military equipment escaped from a tactical gear catalogue.

At $69.95 (AED 329), this should appeal most to people whose iPhones regularly encounter hiking trails, travel bags and environments less friendly than an office desk. The Baja-inspired design also gives buyers a reason to choose it beyond protection alone. If your phone rarely ventures farther than the sofa, however, Nomad has slimmer and more elegant options.

Nomad Clear Leather Case

The Nomad Clear Leather Case solves an oddly specific problem rather cleverly: wanting to see your expensive new iPhone while still having a case that doesn’t feel completely anonymous. It combines a clear UV-resistant polycarbonate body with Horween leather and is offered in Saddle, Rustic Brown and Black for $69 (289).

Nomad rates it for drops of up to eight feet, while the UV-resistant construction is intended to combat the yellowing that can make transparent cases look ancient remarkably quickly. The combination of clear plastic and leather won’t satisfy purists on either side, but that’s also its charm. It is probably the most distinctive middle ground in Nomad’s iPhone 18 collection.

Nomad Magnetic Leather Back for iPhone 18 Pro

The Magnetic Leather Back for iPhone 18 Pro is for people who dislike cases but possess enough self-preservation instinct not to carry an expensive phone completely naked. At $59 (AED 229), it is available in Burgundy, Saddle, Rustic Brown, Black and Olde Dublin.

This is less about transforming the iPhone into a tank and more about adding leather while preserving the phone’s shape and feel. Buyers obsessed with minimalism should find plenty to like, while serial phone-droppers should continue scrolling. Nomad says this model ships by October 9.

Nomad Sport Case

At $55 (AED 209), the Nomad Sport Case is the straightforward everyday choice. Black, Driftwood, Rosewood and Lunar Gray provide enough variety without venturing into neon gamer-chair territory.

It makes sense for buyers who don’t specifically want leather or the heavier aesthetic of the Rugged Case. Think of it as the sensible default in the range: cleaner and more contemporary than traditional leather, without chasing extreme minimalism.

Nomad’s leather cases

Anyone specifically shopping for leather gets three more variations. The Modern Leather Case costs $69 to $89 and offers Burgundy, Saddle, Rustic Brown, Black and Olde Dublin, making it the obvious starting point for buyers wanting leather without adopting a more traditional case design.

The Traditional Leather Case sits slightly higher at $79 to $99 and offers the same broad color selection. Meanwhile, the $79 Rugged Leather Case comes exclusively in Rustic Brown and is the more interesting proposition for anyone torn between premium materials and a tougher case.

The decision here is less about specifications and more about priorities. Modern Leather is the safer all-round choice, Traditional Leather leans harder into classic leather aesthetics, and Rugged Leather makes sense when durability matters enough that you don’t want style to be the only stat on the character sheet.

The bottom Line

Nomad has sensibly avoided trying to make one iPhone 18 case work for everyone. The Sport Case looks like the easiest everyday recommendation, while the Rugged Case deserves attention from buyers who genuinely need tougher protection. Clear Leather is the wildcard and arguably one of the more interesting designs because it combines visibility, leather and meaningful drop protection.

For the iPhone Duo, the choice is much clearer. The Magnetic Leather Back is the one I’d consider when preserving the slimness and futuristic feel of the hardware matters most, while the Traditional Leather Folio makes more sense for buyers willing to accept additional bulk for fuller coverage and a decidedly more luxurious finish. Just don’t buy the minimalist option and then expect it to behave like body armor; physics remains stubbornly immune to marketing.
