PlayStation Plus June 2026 adds major RPGs and classics

Sony has unveiled the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue lineup for June 2026, bringing a mix of major role-playing games, action titles, simulation experiences, and a classic rhythm game to subscribers. While some regions are seeing a staggered release schedule, players in the UAE and most international markets will gain access to the full catalog on June 16 through PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe memberships.

The headline addition is Final Fantasy XVI, one of the most prominent PlayStation 5 releases in recent years. Square Enix’s action-RPG takes the long-running franchise in a more combat-focused direction, shifting away from traditional turn-based mechanics in favor of real-time battles. Set in the troubled world of Valisthea, the game follows Clive Rosfield through a narrative centered on political turmoil, personal loss, and the immense power of the Eikons. Its arrival on PlayStation Plus significantly lowers the barrier for subscribers who may have skipped the title at launch.

Another notable addition is Sonic X Shadow Generations, which combines an updated version of Sonic Generations with a separate campaign centered on Shadow the Hedgehog. The package reflects Sega’s ongoing effort to expand Shadow’s role within the franchise while revisiting some of Sonic’s most recognizable stages from the past two decades.

For players seeking a more grounded RPG experience, Kingdom Come: Deliverance joins the service ahead of continued interest in the franchise. Unlike fantasy-heavy competitors, the game focuses on historical realism, placing players in medieval Bohemia during a period of political instability. Its deliberate combat system and emphasis on authenticity helped it carve out a dedicated audience despite a rough launch several years ago.

The catalog also adds Life is Strange: Double Exposure, which marks the return of Max Caulfield. The narrative adventure revisits the series’ signature blend of supernatural abilities and emotional storytelling, this time built around parallel timelines and a murder mystery. Meanwhile, Farming Simulator 25 continues the franchise’s steady expansion with new crops, regions, and agricultural systems, demonstrating how simulation games have evolved from niche releases into mainstream subscription offerings.

Rounding out the lineup are Blades of Fire, an action title from MercurySteam that incorporates weapon crafting into its combat system, and Black Desert, the long-running MMORPG known for its expansive world and diverse progression systems.

PlayStation Plus Deluxe subscribers receive one additional benefit this month with Gitaroo Man joining the Classics Catalogue. Originally released during the PlayStation 2 era, the rhythm game developed a cult following thanks to its distinctive art style and music-driven gameplay. Its arrival on modern PlayStation hardware introduces the title to a new audience while continuing Sony’s gradual expansion of its retro library.

The June 2026 PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue may not feature the volume of some previous months, but it offers a diverse selection spanning RPGs, action games, narrative adventures, simulations, online multiplayer experiences, and classic releases. As subscription services increasingly compete on content variety rather than sheer quantity, Sony appears focused on delivering a catalog that appeals to multiple segments of the PlayStation audience.
