ASUS is opening UAE pre-orders for one of its most extravagant handheld gaming packages yet, with the limited-edition ROG Xbox Ally X20 Bundle priced at AED 10,999 and expected to begin arriving in mid-October.
The package marks the 20th anniversary of Republic of Gamers and centres on the ROG Xbox Ally X20, a special-edition Windows 11 handheld finished in translucent black with gold detailing. Beneath the anniversary styling is some serious hardware, including AMD’s Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, 24GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory and a 1TB M.2 2280 SSD.

ASUS has paired that hardware with a 7.4-inch 1080p OLED display capable of a 120Hz refresh rate, variable refresh from 30Hz to 120Hz and a claimed peak brightness of 1,400 nits. An 80Wh battery powers the device, while connectivity includes USB4, a second USB-C port, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4 and a microSD Express reader. At 756g, however, this is firmly at the substantial end of the handheld spectrum.
The more unusual part of the AED 10,999 proposition is everything surrounding the Ally X20. ASUS includes its ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 AR glasses, which use Sony micro-OLED panels delivering 1920 x 1080 resolution per eye. They support refresh rates up to 240Hz and create the equivalent of a claimed 171-inch virtual display viewed from four metres away.
The glasses also feature native three-degrees-of-freedom tracking, adjustable electrochromic dimming and integrated audio tuned by Bose. For players who like the idea of a large private display without carrying a monitor, they potentially make the bundle considerably more interesting than a cosmetic anniversary edition alone.

ASUS has leaned heavily into the collector angle elsewhere. The package includes a customised dbrand Killswitch case and skin, joystick covers, a 68W charger and a Pelican Protector Case with ROG anniversary detailing.
That extensive accessory list also explains some of the unusually high asking price. At AED 10,999, this isn’t positioned as an ordinary entry into handheld PC gaming; it’s clearly aimed at collectors and enthusiasts willing to pay for the complete anniversary package.
UAE pre-orders are available through the ASUS eShop and participating retailers including Geekay, Virgin Megastore, Sharaf DG, Amazon UAE, Emax, Jumbo and Carrefour. ASUS says early pre-orders will also receive an ROG Pelta gaming headset, valued at AED 579, while stocks last.
