A Gilmore Girls reunion is coming…but there’s a catch

Fans of the beloved television series Gilmore Girls are buzzing with excitement as the cast drops hints about a reunion. Scott Patterson (Luke Danes) and Sean Gunn (Kirk Gleason) have taken to social media to tease a new Gilmore Girls project, with posts featuring the hashtag #walmartpartner.

While some fans may be hoping for another revival series, the Walmart partnership suggests that this project is likely a commercial venture. Lauren Graham, who played Lorelai Gilmore, further fueled the speculation by sharing an image reminiscent of Stars Hollow on her Instagram story.

This wouldn’t be the first time a beloved series has reunited for a commercial project. Last year, the cast of Mean Girls came together for a series of commercials, sparking nostalgia among fans. Given Scott Patterson’s ownership of a Gilmore Girls-inspired coffee brand, a commercial partnership with Walmart could involve exclusive merchandise or a themed product line.

The Gilmore Girls revival in 2016, titled Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, received a mixed reception from fans. While some appreciated the continuation of the story, others felt it didn’t quite capture the essence of the original series.

Regardless of the format, the prospect of a Gilmore Girls reunion has generated considerable excitement. Fans will have to wait until December 3rd for the official reveal of this new project. In the meantime, you can revisit all seven seasons of Gilmore Girls, currently streaming on Netflix.
