“The Curse” is a dark comedy-drama television series created by Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie. The series premiered on OSN+, with weekly episodes.

It stars Emma Stone as Whitney, an actress who is cursed by a disgruntled fan. The series follows Whitney as she tries to break the curse while also dealing with her relationship with her boyfriend, Asher (Jonah Hill).

The series has been praised for its unique and uncomfortable humor, as well as its performances from Stone and Hill. However, it has also been criticized for its slow pacing. Overall, “The Curse” is a challenging and thought-provoking series that is not for everyone for sure. Viewers went to the extent of praising the series for how uncomfortable it is.

Well, if that’s not enough for your curiosity to have a go at it, then we don’t know what is.

Here are some quoted from reviews of The Curse:

  • The Guardian: “A sublime crime caper with an unfeasibly brilliant cast.”
  • RogerEbert.com: “The Curse” can be remarkably funny if one is on Fielder and Safdie’s cringe-driven sense of humor.”
  • Variety: “The Curse” is a darkly comedic and thought-provoking exploration of the dark side of philanthropy.”
  • IndieWire: “The Curse” is a bizarre and often uncomfortable, but also strangely addictive, television series.”
