Apple TV+ announced the highly anticipated renewal of the hit series “The Last Thing He Told Me,” based on the bestselling novel by Laura Dave. Fans will be thrilled to learn that the sequel novel is confirmed for publication in 2025, ahead of the second season’s premiere.

Jennifer Garner, whose performance has been hailed as “superb” and “intuitive,” returns to lead the cast alongside Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Angourie Rice, and David Morse. The series, produced by 20th Television and Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, expands the story of Hannah Hall, a woman determined to uncover the truth about her husband’s mysterious disappearance.

Laura Dave and Josh Singer, the team behind the series’ adaptation, serve as executive producers alongside Garner, Witherspoon, and Lauren Neustadter of Hello Sunshine. Emmy Award nominee Aaron Zelman joins season two as co-showrunner and executive producer with Singer.

The dramatic thriller follows Hannah Hall (Garner), who forges a relationship with her stepdaughter Bailey (Rice) to find the truth about her husband’s disappearance. Season one is currently streaming on Apple TV+.
