Netflix gives green light to Supacell and The Gentlemen season 2

Netflix just dropped a double dose of good news for fans of thrilling TV: both the gritty superhero drama Supacell and the Guy Ritchie-helmed The Gentlemen have been renewed for second seasons. While both shows have their merits, let’s be honest, one of them has us absolutely buzzing with anticipation.

The Gentlemen might have garnered more attention due to its big-name director, but it’s Supacell that truly stole our hearts. This darker, more mature take on the superhero genre is a refreshing change of pace, serving up a raw and captivating narrative with stellar performances. If you haven’t seen it yet, prepare to be hooked! As we said in our Season 1 review, Supacell has the potential to become a modern British TV classic.

Show creator Rapman is already gearing up for even bigger things in Season 2, promising that it’s “when you really see what they become.” He’s even got a third season mapped out! This show is clearly a passion project, and we can’t wait to see where it goes next.

Netflix is keeping the plot details under wraps for now, but we do know that we’ll be getting eight new episodes and that Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, and Daniel Ings will be reprising their roles.

Sadly, we’ll have to wait a while for these new seasons to hit our screens. Filming for The Gentlemen Season 2 is set to begin in 2025, and there’s no word yet on when we can expect Supacell Season 2. But hey, good things come to those who wait, right? In the meantime, you can always rewatch the first seasons of both shows on Netflix and get even more hyped for what’s to come.
