Jude Law and Andrew Garfield to star as Siegfried & Roy in Apple TV+ series Wild Things

Apple TV+ is developing a limited drama series based on its original podcast Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy, bringing together a high-profile cast and creative team to dramatize the lives of the legendary Las Vegas illusionists. Jude Law and Andrew Garfield are set to portray Siegfried Fischbacher and Roy Horn, respectively, in the eight-episode series slated to enter production this fall.

Titled simply Wild Things, the series will examine the public spectacle and private complexities of Siegfried & Roy’s four-decade career, culminating in the 2003 onstage tiger attack that ended their run and raised enduring questions about their legacy. The show is positioned as a layered exploration of identity, illusion, fame, and control—both onstage and off.

John Hoffman, best known as the co-creator and showrunner of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building, will write and executive produce the series. Matt Shakman (WandaVision, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters) is attached to direct the pilot and serve as executive producer. The project comes from Apple Studios in partnership with Imagine Entertainment, with Brian Grazer, Kristen Zolner, and Natalie Berkus among the executive producers.

Law and Garfield, both of whom will also executive produce, bring significant star power to a project rooted in complex characters and controversial legacies. Law most recently appeared in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and will star in Netflix’s upcoming Black Rabbit, while Garfield earned acclaim for Under the Banner of Heaven and Tick, Tick… Boom!

The source material—Apple’s Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy podcast—premiered in 2022 and marked the first comprehensive audio documentary on the iconic performers. Created by Will Malnati and narrated by filmmaker Steven Leckart, the podcast offered a behind-the-scenes view of the duo’s career and personal mythology, peeling back the spectacle to investigate their fall from grace.

Apple’s adaptation of Wild Things comes as the streamer continues to expand its original drama slate with projects that blend celebrity casting, true stories, and pop culture retrospection. It also reflects Apple’s growing interest in translating its podcast IP into prestige television, a trend also seen in other platforms leveraging cross-medium storytelling.

No release date has been announced, but with a major cast, a seasoned creative team, and the intrigue of one of the most polarizing performance duos in recent entertainment history, Wild Things is likely to draw attention as production ramps up later this year.
