OSN announced the arrival of the highly-anticipated HBO Original Drama, THE IDOL on June 5th. The series will be streamed on OSN+ and will air on OSN Showcase at the same time as the US premiere.
The Idol, starring Lily-Rose Depp as Jocelyn and Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye as Tedros, is a provocative drama set against the backdrop of Hollywood’s music industry from Sam Levinson, creator of Euphoria. The series follows the story of Jocelyn, a rising pop star, who faces the challenges of fame as she navigates a relationship with club owner Tedros. Co-created by Sam Levinson (HBO’s “Euphoria”), Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye and Reza Fahim, the series will premiere at this year’s Festival de Cannes.
