Apple TV+ announced the premiere date for its highly anticipated series “Sunny,” starring Rashida Jones. The show will make its global debut on July 10th, promising a captivating blend of mystery, drama, and heartwarming companionship.

Set against the backdrop of Kyoto, Japan, “Sunny” follows Suzie (played by Rashida Jones), an American woman whose life is shattered when her husband and son vanish in a mysterious plane crash. In an attempt to console her, Suzie is given Sunny, a state-of-the-art domestic robot created by her husband’s company. Initially resistant to the idea of a robotic companion, Suzie gradually forms an unexpected bond with Sunny, discovering that there’s more to this android than meets the eye.

Together, Suzie and Sunny embark on a journey to uncover the truth behind the plane crash, delving into a world of secrets and hidden agendas. As they navigate this dangerous new reality, their friendship deepens, blurring the lines between human and machine.

With its unique premise and intriguing storyline, “Sunny” promises to be a captivating and thought-provoking exploration of grief, loss, and the unexpected connections that can emerge in the most challenging circumstances.
