Matt Damon and Casey Affleck are about to blow your mind as a mismatched pair of desperate dudes thrown together on a chaotic mission. Damon plays Rory, a dad on the brink who’ll do anything to save his family. Affleck is Cobby, the fresh-out-of-jail ex-con no one should trust… except maybe Rory, since they’re both in deep. Their target? A slimy politician hoarding a mountain of dirty cash.
But (and there’s always a but with these kinds of plans) the heist goes sideways faster than you can say “uh-oh!” Suddenly, our anti-heroes are up to their necks in trouble, chased by everyone from cops to bumbling bureaucrats to straight-up crime lords out for blood. And guess what – the only way out of this mess is together!
Things get even crazier when Rory’s therapist (played by the hilarious Hong Chau) gets dragged into their escape plan.Yep, you read that right – his THERAPIST! This is a whole new level of dysfunctional road trip.
Directed by Doug Liman (the guy behind action hits like “Edge of Tomorrow” and “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”), “The Instigators” promises non-stop laughs and adrenaline-pumping thrills. It’s a hilarious mash-up of heist movies, buddy comedies, and those “run for your life!” flicks that keep you on the edge of your seat.
