Hijack is a 7-episode limited series on Apple TV+ starring Idris Elba as Sam Nelson, a businessman who finds himself in the middle of a hijacking on a plane from Dubai to London. The show is told in real time, and it follows the events of the hijacking from the perspectives of Sam, the hijackers, the passengers, and the authorities on the ground.

Hijack is a tense and suspenseful thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. The acting is top-notch, with Elba giving a particularly strong performance, bringing a mix of charisma, intelligence, and vulnerability to the role. The supporting cast is also strong, with Archie Panjabi, Christine Adams, Eve Myles, and Ben Miles all giving memorable performances.

One of the things that makes Hijack so effective is its real-time format, which keeps things moving at a brisk pace. This creates a sense of urgency that is really gripping.

Another thing that we liked about Hijack is its focus on the characters. The show doesn’t just focus on the action of the hijacking, but it also takes the time to develop the characters and give us a sense of who they are and what they’re thinking. This makes the show more than just a thriller, it also makes it a character study.

Overall, Hijack is a well-made and suspenseful thriller that is definitely worth a watch. If you’re a fan of Idris Elba or thrillers in general, then we highly recommend checking it out.
