Flamin’ Hot is a heartwarming and inspiring story about a man who never gave up on his dreams. Richard Montañez was a janitor at Frito-Lay when he came up with the idea for Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. He was told by his bosses that the idea was stupid, but he didn’t give up. He kept pitching his idea, and eventually, he was able to get it approved. Flamin’ Hot Cheetos became a huge success, and Richard Montañez became a millionaire.
The film is well-acted and well-directed. Jesse Garcia gives a standout performance as Richard Montañez. He brings a lot of heart and humor to the role. Michael Peña, Lili Reinhart, and Tony Shalhoub also give good performances.
Although in real life, and as per the LA Time, there’s no record that Montañez had no role the Flamin’ Hot brand, the movie is enjoyable and uplifting story. It’s a reminder that anyone can achieve their dreams if they never give up.
