Extraction 2 is a 2023 action thriller film directed by Sam Hargrave and written by Joe Russo. The film stars Chris Hemsworth as Tyler Rake, a mercenary who is tasked with rescuing Ovi Mahajan Jr. (Rudhraksh Jaiswal), the son of a wealthy Indian businessman, from a group of mercenaries in Bangladesh. The film is a sequel to the 2020 film Extraction.
After Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth), a mercenary, retires post surviving a dangerous mission in Bangladesh, He is yet again approached by a man (Iris Elba) who asks him to save Ketevan (Tinatin Dalakishvili), the sister of his ex-wife Mia (Olga Kurylenko), along with her children Sandro (Andro Japardize) and Nina (Marta Kovziashvili) who are being held in a Georgian prison by her drug dealer husband Davit (Tornike Bziava).
Rake is obviously hired to bust the family out of prison and take them away from Davit and his psycho brother Zurab (Tornike Gogrichiani).
Overall, Extraction 2 is a decent action movie, packed with a lot of action, and with a straight to the point story as expected. We would say, the prequel was overall much better, but we still recommend watching it.
