Foo Fighter performing on Stage
Foo Fighter at Etihad Park, Abu Dhabi, UAE

After a tragic loss, an emotional hiatus and a cathartic new album, fans finally saw the Foo Fighters live at Etihad Park on Sunday. The band’s performance concluded the post-race concert series and closed out the weekend of the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix on a rock ’n’ roll high.

Kicking off with the perfect opener, “All my Life,” emotions surged as the song transitioned from a contemplative verse to an explosive chorus led by frontman Dave Grohl’s commanding vocals along with soaring guitars.

As the concert progressed with hits like “Learn to Fly” which had the crowd belting out the lyrics word-for-word, and “No Son of Mine,” showcasing the band’s vigor, they even incorporated fragments of iconic tracks like Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” and Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid” into their rendition.

Old school fans were treated to “Breakout” and “Monkey Wrench” reminding them of the band’s rock expertise. With the set closing out with “Best of You” and the most anticipated, “Everlong”.

“Do you love rock’n’roll?”, screamed Grohl. “Because that’s what I am here for.” We couldn’t agree more.

A bucket list dream come true for most, the Foo Fighters exceptional performance of some of rock music’s modern classics only prove that they are truly one of the greats and leave us looking forward to their next performance in the region.
