Get ready to step back in time to the dawn of Beatlemania. A new documentary from acclaimed director Martin Scorsese, titled “Beatles ’64,” is set to premiere on Disney+ on November 29th, offering an intimate look at the Fab Four’s iconic arrival in America and their groundbreaking performance on The Ed Sullivan Show.

The documentary focuses on a pivotal moment in music history: February 1964, when the Beatles touched down at JFK Airport in New York City, greeted by a frenzy of excited fans. Their subsequent appearance on The Ed Sullivan Showbecame a cultural phenomenon, drawing an audience of over 73 million viewers – a record-breaking number at the time.

An Intimate Look at a Defining Moment

Scorsese, who also directed the 2011 documentary George Harrison: Living in the Material World, promises to provide a behind-the-scenes perspective on the Beatles’ American debut. The film features new interviews with surviving members Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney, offering personal insights and reflections on this transformative period in their lives.

“Beatles ’64” will also include never-before-seen footage, giving fans a fresh glimpse into the band’s early days and the electrifying energy that surrounded their rise to fame.

A November to Remember for Beatles Fans

In addition to the Disney+ documentary, Beatles enthusiasts have another reason to celebrate this November. On November 22nd, a vinyl collection titled “The Beatles: 1964 US Albums in Mono” will be released, featuring seven American Beatles albums. This collection highlights the unique variations in album releases between the US and the UK, offering fans a chance to experience these iconic records in their original American configurations.

With both the documentary and the vinyl collection arriving in November, it’s shaping up to be an exciting month for Beatles fans worldwide. “Beatles ’64” promises to be a must-watch for anyone interested in music history, pop culture, or the enduring legacy of the Fab Four.
