A bone-chilling teaser trailer has dropped for the highly-anticipated prequel series, “Dexter: Original Sin,” providing a glimpse into the events that transformed Dexter Morgan into the notorious serial killer. The series will premiere on Paramount+ with Showtime on December 13th, followed by its on-air Showtime debut on December 15th.

The teaser features the haunting voice of Michael C. Hall, who originally played Dexter, narrating the inner thoughts of a young Dexter, played by Patrick Gibson. The chilling line “I’m a killer, but I wasn’t born this way. I was made,” sets the stage for a dark exploration of Dexter’s formative years.

Set in 1991 Miami, the series follows Dexter during his early days as a forensics intern, where his “Dark Passenger” begins to take control. Witness the emergence of Dexter’s vigilante persona and the development of his infamous “Code,” guided by his adoptive father, Harry, played by Christian Slater.

Familiar faces from the Dexter universe, like Debra Morgan, Angel Batista, and Maria LaGuerta, will also make appearances, reimagined as their younger selves. With Clyde Phillips, the creative force behind the first four seasons of “Dexter,” at the helm, “Original Sin” is poised to be a captivating and suspenseful journey into the heart of darkness.

As fans eagerly anticipate this prequel, excitement is also building for the upcoming “Dexter: Resurrection,” promising the return of Michael C. Hall as the iconic serial killer. Dexter Morgan’s complex saga continues, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats.
