Marvel Studios kicked off the first-ever D23 fan event in Brazil with a bang, unveiling the highly anticipated trailer for “Captain America: Brave New World” and offering a sneak peek at “Thunderbolts.”

“Captain America: Brave New World” marks Anthony Mackie’s first cinematic outing as the new Captain America, following his transformation in the Disney+ series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” The film, directed by Julius Onah, delves into the aftermath of the series and ties into the events of 2008’s “The Incredible Hulk.”

The trailer opens with Sam Wilson, now Captain America, visiting Isaiah Bradley in prison. A series of intense scenes unfold, hinting at a complex conspiracy involving the attempted assassination of President Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford in his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. Sam finds himself caught in the crosshairs, battling to uncover the truth and prevent a global conflict. The trailer culminates in a dramatic showdown between Captain America and the formidable Red Hulk.

“Thunderbolts,” directed by Jake Schreier, brings together a unique team of antiheroes, including Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), US Agent (Wyatt Russell), Red Guardian (David Harbour), and more.

The new footage showcases the Thunderbolts’ chaotic dynamic as they navigate a mission fraught with danger and unexpected twists. The team’s camaraderie, laced with humor and thrilling action sequences, promises an entertaining and action-packed adventure.

“Captain America: Brave New World” is set to hit theaters on February 14, 2025, while “Thunderbolts” will conclude Marvel’s Phase Five with its release on May 2, 2025.
