Fans of the globally acclaimed bilingual comedy series “Acapulco” can rejoice! Apple TV+ has officially renewed the show for a fourth season, set to premiere in 2025. The heartwarming and hilarious series, led by the Emmy and SAG Award-winning Eugenio Derbez, will continue to delight audiences with its vibrant portrayal of life in the iconic Las Colinas resort.

The renewal comes hot on the heels of “Acapulco” garnering an impressive nine nominations at this year’s Imagen Awards, including Best Comedy and accolades for its talented cast. The show’s success is a testament to its ability to blend humor, heart, and cultural celebration, resonating with viewers across the globe.

Derbez, who stars as the older Máximo and also serves as an executive producer, expressed his excitement about the renewal, emphasizing the importance of representation and the joy of sharing Latino stories on a global platform.

Showrunner Sam Laybourne and creator Austin Winsberg echoed Derbez’s enthusiasm, highlighting the dedication of the cast and crew and their eagerness to return to Las Colinas for another season of fun and heartwarming stories.

Fans can catch up on the first three seasons of “Acapulco,” currently streaming globally on Apple TV+. Season three left viewers on a cliffhanger, with older Máximo returning to a changed Las Colinas and younger Máximo navigating the challenges of success and relationships in 1985.

“Acapulco” continues to be lauded for its captivating blend of humor, heart, and cultural vibrancy, and its renewal for a fourth season is a testament to its enduring appeal. With its talented cast, engaging storylines, and commitment to showcasing Latino stories, the show is sure to continue captivating audiences in the years to come.
