wedotv, a free ad-supported streaming network offering sports and entertainment content, is expanding its reach into the Middle East and North Africa through a new distribution agreement with evision, the media division of e& (formerly Etisalat). Starting this week, two of wedotv’s FAST channels—wedotv BIG Stories and wedotv sports MENA—will be available to viewers through TV by e& and the advertiser-supported STARZ ON streaming service. The partnership was announced by Magnus Simons, wedotv’s Business Development Director for MENA and the Nordics, and Sunil Joy, Head of Content at evision and STARZ ON.
The move marks wedotv’s latest step in a steady international rollout that has seen the company expand from its European base in DACH and the UK to markets in Italy, the Nordics, Benelux, Asia, and the United States. The addition of MENA strengthens its global footprint and brings its localized, free-to-access model to new audiences across the region. Simons noted that the channels are fully tailored for MENA viewers, including Arabic subtitles and regional programming adjustments.
wedotv BIG Stories focuses on factual and outdoor adventure content, with shows such as Desperate Hours, Miracles of Nature, Survival Science, Alaska’s Ultimate Bush Pilots, and My Animal Family. The emphasis on nature, human endurance, and real-life storytelling aligns with the platform’s broader global strategy of offering unscripted entertainment with broad audience appeal.
wedotv sports MENA delivers live sports coverage, including the Scottish Football League, Italian Lega Basket, Turkish Basketball Super League, PSA Squash Tour, and BWF Badminton events. The channel also features commentary and magazine-style programs such as The Football Review, The Inside Line, Sport Confidential, and Total Combat.
According to evision’s Sunil Joy, the addition of wedotv channels complements evision’s push to diversify its free and ad-supported content lineup. He emphasized the importance of offering accessible, high-quality programming that blends live sports and factual entertainment while catering to Arabic-speaking audiences.
The collaboration will expand further next month with the introduction of wedotv movies, a localized version of the company’s free movie channel already available across Europe, Asia, and North America.
wedotv operates multiple free-to-air and FAST channels, including wedotv movies, wedotv sports, wedotv big stories, wedotv true stories, and wedotv amor. The company’s ad-supported app, available globally across major app stores, offers a mix of films, documentaries, live sports, lifestyle shows, and news. By leveraging a free streaming model, wedotv aims to compete in markets increasingly defined by audience fragmentation and subscription fatigue, offering viewers a cost-free alternative supported by targeted advertising.
