Robots will dominate the earth, Siri will take over you bank account and mankind will come to an end…….this is somehow expected, no? I mean, movies like Terminator, I, Robot and others had one purpose only, getting us ready to deal with this kind of situation.
At least this is what one of the world’s most brilliant minds has said.
Physicist Stephen Hawking has predicted that it will happen in the next 100 years, AI will dominate and wipe mankind from existence. Speaking at the Zeitgeist 2015 conference in London, Hawking said:
Computers will overtake humans with AI at some within the next 100 years. When that happens, we need to make sure the computers have goals aligned with ours.
Hawking made similar comments last year when he said that scientists aren’t taking the situation seriously buy understanding the future of AI.
Success in creating AI would be the biggest event in human history. Unfortunately, it might also be the last, unless we learn how to avoid the risks, Hawking said.
Other tech giants like Bill gates and Elon Musk also agreed with Hawking’s theory.
