The world’s first 3D office building was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Monday. The 3D printed facility spans over 250-square-metres on the Emirates Towers premises and houses the Dubai Future Foundation, which is part of the initiative of Dubai 3-D Printing Strategy to promote the UAE and Dubai as a leading global centre of 3-D printing by 2030.
We implement what we plan, and we pursue actions not theories, said HH Sheikh Mohammad at the the opening of the Office of the Future.

The first 3D-printed office building of its kind in the world is ready for use and is fully equipped with key services such as electricity, water, communication and air-conditioning.

A 3D-printer measuring 20 feet high, 120 feet long and 40 feet wide was used to print the building. The printer features an automated robotic arm to implement the printing process, took 17 days to print and two days to install on site.
