If the reports from Android World are true, then WhatsApp will be on to a key aspect of its messaging platform that has been missing: a web version. Back when Facebook bought WhatsApp and the privacy fiasco ensued, companies took on the challenge of accepting WhatsApp deserters, chief among them telegram, which admittedly is a WhatsApp rip-off with a few nifty extra features including native desktop apps and web apps.
WhatsApp seems to have taken notice that people would like to use a web-based version of the messaging system, which can be useful if you’re constantly seen at the office looking down at your phone. If the strings of code uncovered are any indication, this may very well be the case.
While it’s still a rumour, it is one that I personally am looking forward to.
