After last month’s Android roll out of WhatsApp’s voice calling feature, the Facebook owned company has now started pushing the feature to iOS devices.
The new version allows users to call contacts directly from within the app using a Wi-Fi or cellular connection at no cost. The new update also brings a few other features, including iOS 8 share extension, contact editing tool, and the ability to send multiple videos at the same time.
If you have already updated and can’t find the calling option, don’t panic, the feature will be pushed by WhatsApp servers gradually over the next few weeks.
Users residing in the UAE, might not be able to use the service when it rolls out as both telecom providers have confirmed last month that the VoIP feature is blocked.
