The internet has spoken! WhatsApp has released and new updated to their Android App giving users the ability to disable the “read receipts” blue ticks.
WhatsApp’s latest Android app (version 2.11.44) adds new option to disable the receipts under the privacy section in the settings menu.
The new version is available on Android and via WhatsApp’s site only for now. Same update is expected roll out for iOS and other platforms soon.
