Uber & Foursquare have announced a global partnership that would allow the use of Foursquare’s location data to let users type in a location name instead of addresses. By using Foursquare’s data, Uber users will be able to enter the names for restaurant, shops and other venues without having to type in the exact address.
The breadth and accuracy of Foursquare’s location intelligence is impressive, said Emil Michael, Uber’s Chief Business Officer. With the ability to customize location data, we can make the user experience even better for Uber riders and drivers around the globe.
Users will also have access to Foursquare’s data and will be able to modify or add information of places.
