Twitter is working on a human-curated feed called ‘Project Lightning’, the purpose of which is to allow users to follow events from around the world with photos, videos, and tweets.
While one can follow an event using hashtags, shifting through massive feeds is an arduous task. Project Lightning aims to simplify this process by offering a separate view for events to follow, which will be updated manually from twitter, pulling in information from twitter itself, Vine, and Periscope.
The service is set to launch in the coming few months.
