Twitter has announced a few new enhancements to its native app that will be rolling out in the coming months leading into the first half of 2015.
The most interesting of them is the native video function, giving users the ability to record, edit, and share the video directly from within the app. No information on whether the editing part will involve filters or simply trimming, but the video feature will certainly open up new possibilities given that the functionality was strictly on its Vine app.
The second enhancement is related to direct messages – rolling out next week – is the ability to take a conversation from public to private with the ability to “embed” or discuss a specific tweet. And finally, if you’ve been away from the service for too long, twitter will give you a “snapshot” of what happened in what it feels is important to you so that you don’t suffer to greatly from FOMO.
We’re looking forward to these new updates and will provide more details as they roll out.
