Twitter & Google strike deal to put tweets in search

A new deal between Twitter and Google will see your tweets appear in search results.

According to Bloomberg, Twitter will now allow Google to have direct access to its feeds to be posted directly into the search engine, as opposed to it previously having to crawl Twitter for the info. In the first half of this year, tweets will start to be visible in Google’s search results as soon as they’re posted.

Twitter hopes this deal puts tweets in front of people who might not be on the service in a bid to increase its users database. Twitter also announced a new ads partnership with Yahoo Japan and Flipboard to increase exposure.
