Twitter introduces Connect Tab

GEEK DESK

May 5

I’m very active on Twitter, and it’s my primary social media account, that I rely heavily on to find out what’s happening on to go and since that information is curated by actual people, I just tend it to follow their information more than most other platforms.Of course, Twitter has been having a bit of a hit and a miss with recommendations and who you should follow until now and it always required a bit of luck and searching for mutual interests. That changes now/ Starting today, you’ll see a detailed list of people and accounts that Twitter thinks you’ll enjoy following, all easily accessible in one place.

Connect without Moments
To give you the best recommendations — which Twitter will continue to refine over time and look at who you already follow, Tweets you like, popular accounts in your local area, what’s happening in the world right now, and more. They’ll also let you know exactly why we’re showing you each recommendation. The Connect tab also makes it easier to connect with your friends and family or mutual interests by giving you the option to automatically sync your address book. And if someone in your address book joins Twitter, Twitter will let you know so you can give them a welcome them with a tweet.

The Connect tab is rolling out today to everyone on Twitter for iOS and Android. To check it out, update your app and you’ll see a little blue prompt introducing the Connect tab when it’s available for you.
