Visitors to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Asia in Shanghai were welcomed with a meal cooked by a robotic kitchen.
Moley Robotics demoed the automated kitchen which consists of two large robotic arms that have the capability to cook based on a library of recipes. The arms consist of 20 motors, 24 joints and 129 sensors and can produce dishes such as the crab bisque that were served to the event’s visitors.
This is the result:
The robotic setup came with a pre-equipped kitchen but the company said that the consumer model will also be able to be integrated into pre-existing kitchens.
The device is still a prototype for now and is expected to go on sale in 2017, with a library of more than 2,000 dishes.
