Almost a year ago, TechNovator unveiled the prototype for XE – a wireless charger for any mobile. The problem back then was that it was big and clunky, not something that was portable and even vaguely stylish; however, they recently showed off the latest version and it has come a long, long way.
The XE has two components – a charging base and a case for your phone. The wirelessly charging phone case works over a distance of up to 17 feet from the charge base. You simply need to slide your Phone into the XE case, plug the charge base into the wall socket and keep the phone within the range of 17ft from the charge base. The base will charge the iPhone using electromagnetic waves.
How it works
The charge base uses Bluetooth to scan the 5m perimeter in search of the phone housed in the XE wireless case. It then checks the phone to be authorized to receive the power. The charge base pinpoints the exact location of the phone to target the transmitter directly at the XE wireless case. To protect the phone battery from damage, XE wireless case initially accumulates the received power in its built-in battery; the case battery – when fully charged – transfers the energy to phone battery. The XE wireless charge case will automatically stop charging as soon as the phone battery is fully charged.

The Case
The specially crafted texture of the case gives pleasant tactile sensation while ensuring a firm grip. The case is made of special breed of polyurethane that gives the case elasticity while guaranteeing solid protective capacity for the everyday use.
The XE case only slightly increases the feel of the phone size. The case is 4mm thick on the sides and 2mm on the back wall.
Charge Zones
The stylish XE sphere-shaped wireless charge base is suitable for home and office conditions, while the XE wireless car charger connects to the USB and is specially developed to fit into car’s armrest.
The App
The XE app is available to download from the App Store. The app lets the user see the strength of the charge signal and estimated time to the full charge of the phone battery. The app also shows the stats of the wireless charging in figures and graphs. The user can also use the app to turn the wireless charging on and off.
They estimated entry price will be $250 and it is expected to be out at the beginning of 2017.
