While the race for smartwatches has already begun, there seems to be a lot of confusion as to what a smartwatch should look like. Apple tried to address this issue by releasing various models, straps, and accessories across all price ranges to appeal to as many consumers as possible. With “Connected”, TAG Heuer’s message is clear: it’s the same luxury you’re accustomed to, but in digital.

Admittedly, the watch is indeed beautiful, fully aware that everything looks phenomenal as a 3D render. It’s a 46mm watch with circular screen (woohoo!) that’s 1.5 inches, 360×360 LTPS LCD. It’s powered by a dual-core Intel 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage and a 410mAh battery. You also get the now-standard smartwatch sensors. Best of all, it’s compatible with both iOS and Android.

Being in the luxury category, it’s priced “modestly” at $1500, which is rather fair for a luxury watch. The added value is a full warranty that covers two years with an option to exchange the watch with a mechanical one at the end of its useful cycle (as we know, technology gets old pretty fast).
