After months of rumours, Apple Music was officially launched with a $10 price tag, putting it next to its rivals plans. But where Apple Music really shines is with its family plan that only costs $15 a month with up to six user compared to Spotify’s $15 for two users.
In a statement to The Verge, Spotify’s head of communications and public policy Jonathan Price said “We already have similar family pricing in some markets and we expect to offer competitive pricing everywhere in the near future.”
Although Price did not actually confirm matching Apple’s pricing, indications point at Spotify actually going to match Apple Music’s family plan, and maybe perhaps go lower?.
