It appears that Sony is attempting to revive the Walkman. yes, you heard me, the WALKMAN!
The electronics giant launched the new Walkman NWZ-ZX2, which will go on sale later this year for $1,200……..Pause, grab a glass of water and come back.
The package doesn’t even include headphones…

Sony’s new 128GB Walkman Hi-Res Digital Music Player, comes with a microSD card slot and features a 4.0-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) Triluminos display and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Connectivity wise, the Walkman include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and Micro-USB. Sony said that the new device can play virtually any format and is capable of mp3 (128kbps) playback time for up to 60 hours and flac (192kHz/ 24bit) playback up to 33 hours.
Sony has also included its own android apps for sound optimisation.
But seriously? $1200?
