She said YES: Valve employee uses VR to propose

The Internet has brought us plenty of beautiful and surprising proposals, but one Valve employee has pioneered a first, using virtual reality.  While there have been some digital proposals (in MMORPGs for example), a floating ring in a simulated VR world is a first.

And that’s exactly what Chandler Murch did as he proposed.  Using an HTC Vive — that is out in limited numbers to devs — Kelly Tortorice was minding her own business in the virtual world when she saw a ring float her way.
