Samsung Note 7 To Resume Sales This Month

Samsung Note 7

Ahh, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. A 5.7-inch Quad-HD display, iris scanning capabilities and of course, the dual curved edges were meant to bootstrap Samsung into to the next quarter with comfortable profit margins. However, the Samsung Note 7 had another feature not many users bargained for; spontaneous combustion.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock or been camping out at MOE for the iPhone 7 & 7 Plus launch for the past month, you’d have heard that Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone had an unfortunate tendency to catch fire and, in some cases, explode. The dilemma put South Korea’s leading smartphone maker on the back foot as it struggled to get a hold on things before issuing a recall to the nearly 2.5 million units sold until that point. The next sensible step that was accomplished was to, of course, terminate the sales of the product, whose combustive capabilities seem to have stemmed from faulty batteries. Predictively, the already cut-throat world of the smartphone market coupled with the flaming smartphones didn’t do Samsung any good as the company lost nearly $26 billion in market value.

But, there’s hope on the horizon for the company and their troubled flagship phone; the Samsung Note 7 will resume sales on the 28th of September. The sales of the Samsung Note 7 will first resume in South Korea and then in other markets, when conditions allow, according to a spokesperson. Read that as having the sales resume by October for the majority of the markets.
