We’ve heard tell of a new Chromebook in the works for a couple of months now. At first, it was called “the upcoming Chromebook” and then it was christened Kevin. But now all the rumours have been put to rest as the new Chromebook leaked online from several retailers, surprising many. Its official name? The Samsung Chromebook Pro.
While Samsung may be a bit of a taboo word in technology right now, their personal computer business is as smooth and non-combustible as ever; they announced a modular computer, the ArtPC Pulse just a few days ago. From what we can glean from the leaks, the Samsung Chromebook Pro is similarly quite impressive.
Retailing at $499, the Samsung Chromebook Pro brings a 12.3-inch touchscreen display on a 360-degree hinge, a hexacore processor (Dual A72, Quad A53) clocked at 2GHz, 32GB of storage and 4GB of RAM.
Furthermore, the Samsung Chromebook Pro boasts an absolutely stunning design with minimal bezels, what looks like an all-aluminum chassis, and a stylus. A stylus! It’s the first for a Chromebook. The listing on the retailer’s website put a release date of October 24th; if that’s true then expect an official announcement soon!
