Going beyond the microSD cards, Samsung has announced the world’s first removable UFS (Universal Flash Storage) memory cards with storage capacities of 32, 64, 128, or 256 GB.
The new UFS storage cards are supercharged and are around five times faster than microSD with sequential read speeds of up to 530 megabytes per second. Samsung said that the new cards can read a 5 CG, full HD movie in roughly 10 seconds compared to a UHS-1 microSD card which does it in around 50 seconds.
