As expected, Microsoft has finally pulled the plug on Internet Explorer. The company has revealed that it is currently considering new names for its upcoming browser successor – Project Spartan.
We’re now researching what the new brand, or the new name, for our browser should be in Windows 10. We’ll continue to have Internet Explorer, but we’ll also have a new browser called Project Spartan, which is codenamed Project Spartan. We have to name the thing, said Microsoft’s marketing chief Chris Capossela.
Microsoft said that Internet Explorer will still exist in some versions of Windows 10 for enterprise compatibility purposes only.
Project Spartan, or whatever Microsoft decides to name it, will be the primary browser for Windows 10 users.
BuzzFeed said “Internet Explorer Is Finally Being Killed After Years Of Merciless Mockery” and complied some photos showing how people mocked IE. Enjoy! 🙂
RIP Internet Explorer.
