Microsoft has released a new build of Windows 10 technical preview for Windows Insiders, containing the company’s new web browser codenamed “Project Spartan.” Project Spartan is set to replace Internet Explorer in the new OS. .
In a blog post, Microsoft said that Project Spartan puts the focus on the page, not the browser.
This is part of our vision for a browser that doesn’t visually interfere with your life on the Web, but supports it. You will also see some of the features that we demo’ed back in January and we hope you’ll love them.
Project Spartan comes with Cortana, Microsoft’s digital assistant, available in both Windows Phone and Windows 10. Microsoft also highlighted new features like inking and sharing, distraction-free reading with reading list and reading view and a new engine for the modern web.
