Polaroid has announced a pocket-sized Snap instant digital camera. The Snap offers the signature instant photography of Polaroid. The new camera has sleek modern design and can print photos with a push of a button using Zink Zero Ink Printing technology.
The Snap has a 10-megapixel sensor, a microSD card slot and can print out full color 2×3 inch photos, all ink free using Zink photo paper which is made of composite material embedded with cyan, yellow and magenta dye crystals and has protective polymer overcoats.
Users can customize pictures with a variety of capture modes. The Polaroid Snap shoots in color, black-and-white, and vintage Polaroid. A photo booth mode fires off six shots in 10 seconds.
The Snap is expected to retail at $99.99 and will be available in red, blue, black and white later this year. As for the photo paper, a pack of Polaroid’s premium Zink photo paper will cost $29.99 for 50 sheets.
