If you’ve been complaining about not being able to livestream through Periscope for some time now, you’re not alone.
I think @periscopeco appears to be down, in the UAE anyway.

While the app is functional, you won’t be able to view any streams or livestream yourself.
There’s reasonable explanation to believe that the app is now blocked, a spokesperson close to Twitter confirmed to The National that “the company was aware of “access issues” in the UAE.” There’s no comment if the app has been blocked by the TRA. Service providers have yet to comment on the blocked access. Periscope was Twitter’s entry to the livestreaming market and proved widely successful in the U.A.E for individuals and brands alike. Developing… Update: Du has responded that the Periscope app is not supported.

UPDATE: It appears that Periscope isn’t blocked but is facing disruptions in the network, the TRA has officially confirmed.
