Coming to you straight out of Paris, Parrot offers their second generation of Minidrones, piloted through your own smartphone or tablet via the free piloting app FreeFlight 3.

With 13 new drones separated into three clans, they are ready to take up any challenge. Equipped with new capabilities, these highly playful drones are ready for action – on the ground, in the air, and even on water!
The Jumping clan: these super rovers can roll, rush, zigzag, take turns at 90º and jump up to 80cm in height and length. They can see, listen and even talk to the user, thanks to an embedded wide angle camera, microphone and speaker. Their two large retractable wheels adapt to all driving styles.
The Airborne; these “experts in acrobatics” are quadricopters, capable of performing flips and ripping through the air at 18km/h. This clan also has a detachable figure, which you can replace with you favourite Lego characters!
The Hydrofoil; these flying drones are attached to a hydrofoil boat, which can lift out of the water and reach the speed of 5.4 knots (10km/h).
We were able to test out the Jumping and Airborne drones, and what an experience it was. I can honestly say that if you were to whip these out at a family gathering with all your little cousins/siblings, they’d be occupied for hours. Easy and light to control, you can fly/drive these drones through your own device. You can even capture your Minidrone adventures with the built in camera!
