Global phone manufacturer, OPPO, announced today its partnership with Etisalat, the UAE’s primary telecom provider, in launching its new premium industrial design smartphone, the R7, to the country’s consumer market.
The new addition to the OPPO ‘R range’ family has technology such as 2.5D Glass curve design and VOOC flash charge, an instant charging technology developed by OPPO, which can give the smartphone enough power for two hours of talk after only five minutes of charging, and complete 75% of the charging in just 30 minutes. The VOOC flash charge technology provides users 4x faster charging speed than conventional charges.

The new OPPO R7 says it stands out for its camera experience, as its speed in camera initiation is 30% faster than comparable products. Alongside its 8MP camera, the R7 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with ISOCELL CMOS sensor technology that reduces inter-pixel crosstalk, and improves the dynamic range to deliver finer detail and layering in both light and dark environments.
The “Flash Shot” system is a unique feature to the OPPO R7 smartphone with two key functions, “Dual-drive Hybrid Focus System” and “Anti-shake Optimization”. The OPPO R7 “dual-drive” features include not only the traditional contrast detection focus, but phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) that competes with single-lens reflex cameras, with a focus time as quick as 0.1s. The “Anti-shake Optimization” algorithm is designed to take multiple photos in the seconds before and after the user presses the shutter, and selects the clearest image, increasing the clarity of photos taken. All to make sure users can take professional-looking photos with a touch of a button. The camera technology enables versatile functions such as double exposure, super macro and slow shutter providing users a unique photography experience.

OPPO’s latest R7 smartphone has an all metallic body achieved through magnesium aluminium and has a metallic ratio as high as 92.3%, and a 5 inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen, making the smartphone robust and durable. The comfortable large-screen smart phone has the dual benefits of practical ergonomics and visual aesthetics. With a 3GB RAM and 16GB available memory, users should be able to comfortably store files without worrying about running out of memory.
The R7 is available in the UAE at a retail price of 1599 AED.
